Battery Jump Start

BATTERY JUMP START LAS VEGAS

A dead battery is the worst kind of surprise. Nobody wants to get in their vehicle after a hard day at work only to find out that the long day isn’t quite over yet.

Where is the Energizer Bunny when you need him? All you wanted was to go home and have some peace and quiet. But those headlights you left on this morning have now drained your battery and your car won’t start.

And to make matters worse you took the jumper cables out of the trunk last week to make more room for groceries. Don’t beat yourself up. It happens to all of us. Now even if you could find someone to give you a boost you would have to hope that they have jumper cables.

Even if you do have booster cables and a helping hand, don’t give yourself a shock. Just give us a call if you need battery jump start and we will come and get you back up and running. We will breathe new life into that tired battery in no time, and if it turns out that the battery isn’t the problem we will get you towed to the nearest repair facility. Having an Emergency?

We're available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

What affects battery life.

Technically, your car battery should be last you a good three to five years. But, there are a few factors that affect battery life, and here at Towing Service Las Vegas we are well acquainted with that. We get hundreds of calls a year for dead batteries and we always find that warning signs were around the whole time.

Your battery comes with a warranty and a shelf life but we know that your battery life depends on where you live and other factors. The climate where you are will shorten the life of a battery. Extreme hot such as the subtropics or extreme cold such as many of the states we have will also shorten battery life.

Having a garage to store it in that is climate controlled will help extend battery life but not by much. After all, you’ll be out traveling in that snow, won’t you?

Get your battery tested.

At Towing Service Las Vegas you don’t have to risk your car by hoping it gets to a Pep Boys or other garage to test it. We can do it–just sit tight in a safe area and call us. We can also tell at what temperature your battery is likely to fail and how long your battery may last from that point.

What’s the job of your battery?

In simple terms, the battery carries and stabilizes a current to the starter–period the end. But, even though it has one of the most simple jobs of any other parts–without it–the car just doesn’t run.

Warning signs your car battery is about to poop out.

As we stated before, there are signs prior to your eventual stranding that you may either pass off as something less ominous like a loose wire or a bad fuse. Most people aren’t aware of what to look for. In fact, if everyone learned to look under their hood once a week for a quick check, then we would probably be out of business. But the reality is that most people don’t have the time or the memory to engage. So, what are the symptoms your car battery is about to go poop?

Engine doesn’t start quickly.

This is a pretty straight forward sign. If the engine drags and doesn’t crank, then, you would test the battery first regardless of whether or not your battery light is on.

Your Fluids.

With modern cars, batteries, you don’t need to add water. But your fluids need to be checked if you have a translucent piece in your battery. When the battery fluid drops then you need to have it tested. If the battery is stressed by heat or other elements in will cause that drop in fluid.

Check Engine Light.

The check engine light can be on for a lot of reasons but, it is normally a sign that the car battery is weak or being strained by some element.

Battery Case Shape.

Your battery case should be square or with some more modern ones a small rectangle or oval. Make sure it doesn’t swell. If it does, this isn’t a good sign, in fact it could leak or in extreme cases, it could explode. Towing Service Las Vegas have seen more than their share of battery acid on a windshield of an old and badly maintained car.
