What about flat fixing products and spares?
Let’s explore the spare first. Every car comes with a spare tire. This is normally what’s called a doughnut. This is because it is markedly smaller than the rest of your tires. It’s this way because it’s only meant for you to get from the breakdown scene to the garage.
It’s also this way so you can easily fit it in the spare tire holder in the trunk. What we recommend is that you have a full sized tire to replace that one put in the trunk. Nowadays the trunks are able to house that without a problem. If you can’t then replace the tire immediately.
If you drive on a doughnut for too long you risk accident via blowout or skid as well as messing up your alignment and Axle which is all way more expensive than a tire replacement.
Flat Warnings
There are ways you can check your tires that takes very little time and no mechanical know how. It’s as simple as knowing what the tread of your tire looks like and carrying a coin. Take a look at your tire treads, they should cover half of any coin smaller than a silver dollar, when the coin is stuck between two treads.
If it’s any less you need new tires and if you replace one and can afford it–replace them all so the wear is even among the treads. At Towing Service Las Vegas we get there on time to handle your flat issue and save you from having to go through all that hassle.
Visual Inspection
There should be at least a quick visual inspection of you whole vehicle before you get in it but there should be a visual inspection of your tires especially. There should be no softness or sponginess. Tires should sit upright and you should see no bubbles or puckering on the bottom. Make sure the wheel and tires are turned straight so that the puckering or bubbling is not being caused by that.
Also, make sure you never see smoothness or wires coming from the rubber. This means they are bald and basically useless. They are also dangerous and you shouldn’t be in that car–at all.
A flat tire as you can now understand, is just a byproduct of the things that have been going on with your tires all along. Unless you’ve run over spikes or a nail or someone has cut them–a flat tire takes time to happen.
